Table of the three abbots

The Mesa dos Três Abades, according to history, was built at the beginning of the 17th century, from the initiative of the parish priests of Punhe, Mujães and Barroselas, to mark the end of disagreements regarding the limits of the respective parishes. The priests have decided to mark the respective limits not with stone marks, as was usual, but with a granite table composed of a solid plaque and three benches that symbolically identify each parish. There are those who guarantee that, for a long time, the three parish priests had been at the Mesa dos Abades, for a happy fraternization, at the end of the visit to the houses of the respective dweller.
