Education and Literacy

The Educational Service of the Viana do Castelo Geopark was developed based on the curricular programs and goals of the Directorate-General for Education, and aims to assist teachers in the development and implementation of the work project methodology as a fundamental option and the central focus of curricular development.
This service includes educational projects and activities for groups, plus 13 pedagogical proposals as major thematic areas described in detail in the “Teacher's Book”.
The educational offer is directed to the different areas of knowledge and to the different levels of education, from Pre-school to Secondary-school.
In the activities proposed by the Educational Service, clarification sessions, laboratory activities and field trips are developed.
